His paintings often glorify the virtues of womanhood. In his reverence, he sometimes crowns the head with an aura of dazzling light commonly reserved for icons.
Bret's goal is to lure viewers into the psyches of his subjects, giving them just enough information to delve into their own emotions, memories, and stories. In his original oil paintings, he strives to capture the human spirit, which mass-produced prints and much contemporary art fail to achieve. Bret prefers a customized approach, consulting with each collector to select the perfect one-of-a-kind painting for their home or office.
